Intralex Support & FAQs

Q  What Server will I need to run Intralex?

In most cases, the same Server you are using now, providing it is running Windows 2003 Server and SQL Express 2005 or higher.

Q  Will I need a new Server?

The speed of information delivery will be determined by the power of your Server. Most Servers are powerful machines designed for constant multi-user access. You should ensure there is plenty of disc storage space (discs can be added) and that a good backup procedure is in force. You may also choose to run Intralex on a its own, separate Server.

Q  Will we need any new PC software to access to files?

No. Only the Internet Explorer web browser, which is a free component of MS Windows.

Q  Who populates the system with our content?

Your system will come with a fully-compliant set of precedent documents, mirroring the Lexcel standard. Then, anyone you authorise internally (via a login) can upload, amend and manage documents (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF)

Q  Can I modify Intralex once it’s installed?

Other than the look and feel, the Administrator can modify the categories, sections, documents, user accounts and interactive features.

Q  Who will be able to access the Intranet content?

Anyone on your internal network who has been given the link to the server.

Q  What if I have more than one practice?

Your licence includes unlimited users and up to three other office locations on the same network.

Q  Can I access it from home?

If you have are using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), you can dial into your work system and this can give you access to Intralex.

Q  Are there any ongoing monthly costs?

No.

Q  Do I have to pay each year for the system?

Annual support is optional, at £295 + VAT, and is handled via secure remote access.

Q  Do you offer Install and IT support?

Our full Install includes the necessary configuration support to get Intralex running for you.
